KRG Turkmen Delegation’s Turkey Visit

Between 14-17 August 2016, hosted by ORSAM, Turkmen deputies, undersecretaries, members of the county council and authorities of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) have visited Turkey. During the visit, visiting delegation carried out consultations with several institutions and foundations in Turkey. Within the scope of the visit programme, names written below took part in the committee :

In addition, Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Yıldız hosted the delegation and a meeting was conducted concerning the current affairs in Iraq and also the condition of Turkmens. Besides, another meeting was also conducted with the Turkmen diaspora living in Ankara.

The topics discussed in the meetings included the expectations of Turkmens from Turkey, Turkey's Iraq policy, its relations with KRG, problems in KRG and Iraq's internal affairs and fight against FETÖ. Besides, the steps that will be taken in order to improve the relations between Turkey and KRG and also Turkmens role were the other main topics in the meetings.
