Burç Eruygur

Burç Eruygur completed his bachelor’s degree in International Studies at Leiden University, with a special focus on Russia and Eurasia, and a minor in Global Affairs. He finished his master’s degree at the same university, this time on International Relations with a thesis titled: “Turkey’s Progressive Self-Determination: From ‘Strategic Depth’ to Contemporary Foreign Policy Vision”. Following his master’s degree, he completed an internship at the Middle East and North Africa Regional Office of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Cairo.

Burç Eruygur joined the Center for Middle Eastern Studies as a research assistant for North African Studies in December 2020. He has an advanced command of English and French, and a basic command of Russian.
