Symposium on Political and Cultural Affairs of Turkmens in Iraq and Syria

On May 11, 2016, Turkish Historical Society, Ankara University KAMMER Center, Ankara University OTAM Center and ORSAM co-organized a symposium about “Political and Cultural Affairs of Turkmens in Iraq and Syria”. Symposium started with the speeches of the Head of KAMMER Prof. Dr. Nese Ozden, Head of OTAM Prof. Dr. Ucler Bulduk, ORSAM President Assoc. Prof. Saban Kardas, Chairman of the Syrian Turkmen Assembly Abdurrahman Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty of Languages, History and Geography of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Abdulkadir Gurer, Head of Turkish Historical Society Prof. Dr. Refik Turan and Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Erkan Ibis. The symposium composed of two sessions. In the first session, political issues were discussed while the second one focused on cultural issues. The symposium came to an end following an evaluation and analysis session.
